Line recently launched its B612 app on the Windows Phone Store. The app has a weird name, but it’s aim is (sort of) good. It’s basically a selfie app which comes with a number of filters and other features such as a timer. Here’s the feature list:
Rear camera support: Swipe the screen from top to bottom to show your friends the world through your eyes.
Random filter: Sometimes it feels like it can take an eternity before you find just the filter you’re looking for.
Just tap the random button! camera b612 also remembers which filters you like using most and selects them for you.
Vignette: This feature is perfect for darkening the borders of photos to bring out what’s truly important.
Each vignette automatically adjusts to the filter you’re using.
Collage shot: Show everyone a glimpse of your universe by putting your smiles together into one photo. Create 3D pictures that stand out with this feature.
Timer: 2 Seconds, 5 Seconds… Strike the perfect pose before the shutter comes down!
Share: Post your pics and share them easily on Facebook, Twitter, and even Instagram.
The app is available on the Windows Phone Store for free, and you can grab it from here. And don’t forget to tell us what you think of Line’s new app in the comment section below.

Social media and the mobile web has given rise to a strange phenomenon called the “Selfie,” and now we are witnessing selfie mobile phones, selfie apps and don’t know what else.
Now a Japanese company, LINE Corporation owner of the free call and messaging app LINE has launched a new camera app named as B612.
The Download camera b612 app is especially developed for selfie lovers so that they can capture a prefect selfie and feel a new experience they never felt before. The name B612 has been taken from a novel “The Little Prince,” where the B612 is planet.
The interface of B612 is simple and straightforward, discounting the complicated user setup requirements. The app employs the front camera and just require a touch anywhere on the screen to take a picture, so a user is good to go as soon as the app is switched on.
The B612 is based on soft-focus technology that refines images to create a smooth, yet stunning, visual effect. It offers 43 professional-grade filters allowing user to have fun and give their selfies different textures depending on their mood.
Once you’ve taken the photo, the app allows you to share your pic to social networks, blogs, and profiles. Currently the B612 is only available for iOS platform, and for Android users, Line says they users will have to “wait a little while” before it is available to them.
It is interesting that Line, which has its maximum number of users in the Asia-Pacific region has not released its new app for Android first. Ironically, the regions where Line has maximum penetration are Android dominated, so is this a strategy to tap into the Western markets?
